Frida in Dusseldorf

We went there twice because it was the perfect location in the middle between the two of us. Unfortunately, both of us didn't like the food, although we ordered different things to give “Frida's Tapas Bar” another chance. The food looks good, but 1. did not fill you up because the portion was too small, 2. also tasted not particularly good (not seasoned enough?) And 3. was much too expensive in my opinion. Unfortunately, the staff is either permanently understaffed or not attentive enough. Been there both times during the week (not on Fridays!) And the order was only taken after an hour (!!!). Two times in a row. Otherwise, the restaurant is located directly on a large main street / intersection, the volume level is accordingly, which you already know when you first see it if you want to eat there. We won't come any more.

The staff is very friendly. The selection is not very large, but the food is delicious and the price / performance ratio is right.

Small, clear menu, but everything with a good to very good price-performance ratio. Very nice ambience, friendly staff, only one star deduction for the wines and drinks selection overall.

I've been enjoying breakfast here for years. Delicious! Unfortunately, the portions are just getting smaller and smaller. Pity!

I really like the shop. It looks a bit messed up, but it's mega tasty. Larger groups should definitely reserve as there is not so much space.

Delicious tapas for my wife, I had an Argentinian steak 🥩 with was greatly prepared, some delicious warm Chocolate cake with vanilla sauce rounded this great meal plus one cappuccino. Staff was very helpful, friendly and active plus they really took corona serious. Like this place.

Bad overstrained service! We had to wait an extremely long time for drinks and food !! There was no response to repeated calls. We didn't get any plates for the starter plate, we had to eat something that was served and the potatoes on the main course weren't cooked! Really lousy load + service !!

Food is great and so are the drinks. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Regular customers are warmly welcomed and everyone else with a lousy expression. Sorry, but you have to work on it ...

Frida is always a good choice to hang out. The service, tapas and the drinks are very good.

I love this place. Quality is constantly high, super nice service, funny and relaxed atmosphere. Always nice evenings here. Keep it up.

First visit for breakfast. Sure, the shop is popular. But for me, arrogance still comes before the fall. The caterpillar in the salad speaks volumes. The reaction of the (overwhelmed) waiter too. Instead of apologizing, a stupid saying comes. The cheese came from the discounter. Since I had the last slice, the obligatory stripes could be seen in the cheese. No unreserved recommendation

Delicious, nice, I recommend it. The patented and warm waitress is especially great. For the location on the street and the high prices, there is a mild star deduction. Recommendation: prices -10%. Over 5 € per tapas are simply too much for a tapas bar.

Very nice central location for breakfast, brunch, tapas and also lunch. Directly opposite the Bilker church.

Unfortunately not what it used to be. Unfriendly service - who unfortunately also noticed otherwise and preferred to tramk with apparently acquaintances at the neighboring table Kurz and ignored the guests next to it. Drinks were brought in after 40 and 25 minutes, respectively. Toast together - no chance. Unfortunately not recommended. Not a third time.

Delicious Tapas! Nice staff, interesting atmosphere inside, but also very loud. Sometimes you can’t even understand your own words. Very delicious wines and cocktails. Also you have to make a reservation, otherwise it will be hard to get a table especially on the weekends.

I have been at Frida’s last Saturday night with a friend. We ordered the most expensive red wine bottle and the waiter brought us the bottle without serving it. We still didn’t take it too serious until we discovered that the bottle was not closed! We asked three times for the waiter to get a clarification but he ignored us. At the end, finally, another person from the staff came to the table and we asked why it was open, especially during the time of covid, where everybody must pay more attention to hygiene standards. The answer was that they opened it earlier for us and that if we had a problem of trust we were demanded to leave. Absurd!!! Horrible!

Mega cool

Waited 1h15min for the food, without prior warning of the situation. The only thing that had to be cooked, 2 fried eggs, were burnt in the bottom and a bit raw in the top. I guess the fire was too high to speed up? While waiting, they also forgot to bring my 2nd juice. 30min later at least I was offered 1 for free. To end well, they only accept EC Karte, so I had to go out to withdraw cash. Very bad experience. At least the waiters were nice and making an effort to speed up things.

Food is terrible

Food was fair, the environment is different and it's good for friends and locals.

Always tasty. Most of the time, however, the waitress always has a lot to do and so you are served very late or come to pay. However, it is so pleasant that it has never bothered us. The food is always delicious, the drinks too.

It was one of those places that made me fall in love with Dusseldorf when I first moved here.

Yummy Shakshuka. This place is awesome to have a breakfast. The staff was nice as well.

The dishes are extravagant and have large portion sizes. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere nice. However, they could offer some more variety for vegetarians/vegans.
